This is a pair of vintage Roxinho chairs by Michel Arnoult, c. 1960s. Arnoult helped to pioneer the ready to assemble furniture movement in Brazil, this pair an excellent example based on the design and construction. This particular pair of sling chairs utilizes most likely Brazilian imbuia hardwood, or Brazilian walnut, a wood typically utilized in Arnoult's furniture. The leather hides, while similar in color do have differences in tone, one a more persimmon color than its cognac counterpart. The frames of this chair have been professionally restored while the hides are cleaned and conditioned. An overall fine pair exemplary of the designer and the period. An excellent addition to a California vintage or mid century casual decor.Condition: Excellent. Price: $2,950. Inquire about this item.
